GRID-INDIA in collaboration with CIGRE India and CBIP organised one-day International Conference on Cyber Security in Power Sector in New Delhi. The event brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss vital issues in cybersecurity.
The inaugural session was graced by Sh. Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson, CEA. While addressing the inaugural session, he emphasized the crucial need for heightened awareness about cybersecurity in our evolving landscape. The power sector in India serves as the economic backbone, which must be safeguarded against cyber threats. Ensuring the adoption of new technologies with cybersecurity is vital for protecting both machines and manpower.
Sh. S. R. Narasimhan, CMD, GRID-INDIA, while addressing the inaugural session, “said that efforts have been made by Ministry, statutory bodies, and all stakeholders in addressing the Cyber Security concerns of the industry and collaborate with each other to build a cyber resilient grid operation”.
Further he said that the Conference provides a platform for open discussions, information exchange, and educating professionals about concerns, mitigation techniques, and the latest innovations in cybersecurity for critical energy infrastructure.
The conference united key stakeholders, from SLDCs to international experts, fostering discussions on the latest cybersecurity trends. Sessions included Technical Presentations, Panel Discussions, and Table top Exercises, empowering attendees to combat dynamic challenges effectively.
