Government has said that one crore 48 lakh candidates have been trained under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana till date. The scheme was started in 2015, for imparting skill development training to youth across the country. Replying to supplementaries during the question hour in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary said, the training has helped them to get employment. He said, Electronics and Hardware, Apparel, Agriculture and Logistic are the most preferable trades among youth under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0.
