The Ministry of Law and Justice has highlighted major achievements of its nationwide constitutional awareness initiative as the ‘Hamara Samvidhan – Hamara Samman’ campaign transitions into its next phase, ‘Hamara Samvidhan – Hamara Swabhiman’. Launched in January 2024 under the DISHA scheme, the campaign has become one of India’s largest constitutional literacy drives, reaching over one crore citizens through more than 13,700 events across urban and rural regions, including 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats.
The initiative combined legal awareness, real-time assistance, cultural activities and digital engagement, while promoting the Panch Pran pledge, Tele-Law services and Nyaya Bandhu. Sub-campaigns such as Sabko Nyay – Har Ghar Nyaya and Nav Bharat Nav Sankalp strengthened grassroots access to justice and youth engagement. Regional events in Bikaner, Prayagraj and Guwahati showcased digital tools, publications and beneficiary stories.
The newly launched Swabhiman phase aims to deepen constitutional pride and strengthen civic awareness as part of the vision for Viksit Bharat 2047.
