Shri Benjamin L. Tlumtea assumed the role of Member of the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) for Manipur and Mizoram. Administered virtually by Union Minister Shri R. K. Singh. With a background in Mechanical Engineering, he served as a Superintending Engineer in Mizoram’s Power & Energy Department. The JERC oversees tariff regulations, electricity transactions, licenses, and dispute resolution, playing a crucial role in regional energy governance.
