A new chapter has been added in the New Plate Mill of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant with the putting up of new Display Gallery, ‘Gaurav’ on 27th September 2024. The gallery was inaugurated by Mr. S R Suryawanshi, Executive Director (Works). Present on the occasion were Mr. R N Rajendran, CGM (Mechanical), Mr. R K Muduli, CGM (Electrical), Ms. Sunita Singh, CGM (PPC), Mr. Ravindra Kumar Bisare, CGM (NPM &SPP), Mr. A C Sarkar, CGM (RCL), Dr. P K Padhi, GM (Special Plate Plant), Mr. Y K Roy, GM (PM) and other Senior officers and employees of New Plate Mill.
Situated near the Mill Bay, adjacent to the first Rolled Plate Monument, the ‘Gaurav’ Gallery stands as a visual tribute to the achievements of the New Plate Mill. The display showcases the department’s range of products, their various applications, key end-users, and notable accomplishments, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the mill.
The gallery is intended to serve not only as a reflection of the department’s excellence but also as an inspiration for the workforce, underscoring the pride and legacy of the New Plate Mill at RSP.
