GAIL has become the third PSU, after ONGC and OIL, to commercially produce domestic crude oil as an Operator. The Galiyana field, located in block CB-ONN-2010/11 (Anand district, Gujarat), was awarded to the GAIL consortium during the NELP-IX bidding round. This field is successfully producing crude oil from a single well.
