GAIL (India) Limited Reports Record-breaking FY25 Financial Performance

GAIL (India) Limited achieved its highest-ever EBITDA, PBT, and PAT in FY25, driven by strong operational performance across all segments despite global economic challenges. Chairman & Managing Director Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta highlighted the company’s robust financial milestones, including a revenue of Rs 1,37,288 Crores, EBITDA of Rs 19,168 Crores, PBT of Rs 14,825 Crores, and PAT of Rs 11,312 Crores. The company recommended a final dividend of ?1 per share, in addition to an interim dividend, with a payout ratio of 43.59%, and incurred a Capex of Rs 10,512 Crores during the year.

In operational terms, GAIL saw a 6% growth in natural gas transmission volume to 127.32 MMSCMD and an increase in gas marketing volume to 101.49 MMSCMD. The company’s production of LHC stood at 947 TMT, while polymer production rose by 6% to 827 TMT compared to the previous year. The quarterly performance showed a slight dip in EBITDA, PBT, and PAT in Q4 FY25 compared to Q3, reflecting market fluctuations but maintaining overall strong financial health.

Additionally, GAIL announced strategic plans involving its subsidiary GAIL Gas Limited (GGL), which owns and operates 16 GAs across India. The company received PNGRB authorization for six new GAs, and the Board has proposed transferring these GAs to GGL to streamline operations and enhance business efficiency, pending approval from the CCEA. This move aims to create a unified entity focused on retail growth and business synergy in the City Gas Distribution sector.
