NEW DELHI. Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL (India) Limited, interacted with the newly inducted batch of Executive Trainees, sharing valuable insights from his personal and professional journey.

At the outset, Shri Gupta emphasized the importance of dialogue and encouraged the young professionals to engage freely in a two-way conversation. Giving a glimpse of his formative years, he spoke about his student days and the challenges he faced while pursuing Chartered Accountancy, which shaped his resilience and determination.

Recounting his professional journey that began at IOCL’s Mathura Refinery, Shri Gupta highlighted how diverse assignments and challenging responsibilities across multiple locations contributed to his growth. He attributed his success to an inquisitive mindset, respect for colleagues’ contributions, and being accessible as a leader.

Sharing his guiding philosophy of “accepting, enjoying and excelling at every step of the professional journey,” he stressed that *Time and Health are the most precious assets*. He urged the young executives to empower their teams, stay curious, and manage time effectively to achieve sustained excellence.

The session concluded with an interactive Q\&A, where the Executive Trainees raised questions on business challenges as well as work-life balance. Their curiosity and enthusiasm reflected the spirit of learning and growth that Shri Gupta himself advocates.
