Employees of CPP-1 department of Rourkela Steel Plant awarded under SAIL Shabash Scheme

36 Employees of Captive Power Plant-1 (CPP-1) of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant were awarded under category-1 of the SAIL Shabash Scheme in an award function organized at the CPP-1 Conference Hall on 18th February, 2025. Mr. Deepak Roy, CGM (Power), chaired the function and felicitated the employees in recognition of their enterprising efforts in respective work places. The recipients comprised 4 executives and 32 employees of the department.

Mr. N. C. Parida, GM (Operation & Mechanical), CPP-I, Mr. B. V. Dash, GM (Electrical), CPP-I, Mr. Jaiveer Singh, GM (Mechanical), CPP-I, Mr. Jaladhar Dalai, GM (Electrical), CPP-I, and other senior executives of CPP-I were present on the occasion.

Some of the major jobs for which the awards were given included Provision of Auto drain valve in M.P.boiler#2 air receiver tank for auto drainage of moisture, Provision of Hooter in M.P.Boiler#1&2, Providing Soft water in three numbers of Boiler feed pump for better cooling purpose of stuffing box in M.P. Boiler#1&2, Fixing of Pressure gauge in discharge line of soft water pump of M.P.Boiler#1&2 for monitoring the performance of the pump, In-house fabrication and commissioning of HP Boiler #3 BF gas drum seal remote operation mechanism,  Modification of HP boiler -4 ID fan’s hot air seals, Successful development of smart storage facility for slings, Successful assembling of a rejected Waterjet ejector Pump for TA#2/3, Making matra lathe functional by in-house fabrication and replacement of automatic lever, Preparation & installation  of spare assembly for AOP#1 of TA#2 & 3, Successful isolation  and charging of Feed Water Tank # 4&5 for saddle repairing job of Feed tank # 4,  Successful commissioning, cable laying of DM WTP#4 and smooth start up and shutdown facility from DCS etc.

The program was coordinated by Mr. P.K. Tripathy, Deputy Manager, CPP-I and Mr. V. D. Malwe, Senior Manager, CPP-I.
