Employees of Blast Furnaces of SAIL RSP awarded under the ‘SAIL Shabash’ Scheme

In a function held at the Blast Furnace-5 Administrative Building Conference Hall of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 11th January, 2025, 14 employees including executives of the Department were  awarded under ‘SAIL Shabash’ Scheme for their commendable jobs. Mr. Atish Chandra Sarkar, CGM (Iron) presided over the function and handed over the awards in the presence of Mr. Sumit Kumar, CGM (Blast Furnaces). Also present on the occasion were Mr. S Deb, GM, BF (Mechanical), Mr. K B Prasad, GM, BF (Electrical), Mr. S. K. Sharma, GM, BF (Operation) and other Senior officers of the Department.

Mr. Sarkar appreciated the sincere efforts of the employees and encouraged them to continue to work with similar zest. 

It is worth mentioning here that the employees were awarded for Commissioning of Mixed Gas enrichment at stoves of BF-1, Modification of U-Seal – 1 of BF gas line at BF-5, Installation of Audio-Visual alarm system for gas leak at U-Seal area of BF-5 gas line, Implementation of 6 skip charging system at BF-1 to enhance production, Identification of Hot Spot on Blow Pipe on 25th Nov’2024 and take corrective action and Silencer cleaning activities at Waste Gas heat Recovery System.

The programme was coordinated by Mr. A S Routray, Senior Manager, Blast Furnaces.
