Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated India’s first overseas Atal Innovation Centre at IIT Delhi’s Abu Dhabi campus during his two-day UAE visit (September 10–11). He also launched a*Ph.D. program in Energy and Sustainability and a B.Tech program in Chemical Engineering, while interacting with students and faculty.
Pradhan held talks with Sara Musallam, Chairperson of ADEK, focusing on strengthening India-UAE educational cooperation. Discussions included support for Indian curriculum schools, Atal Innovation Labs, student exchanges, curriculum development, and teacher training. He highlighted education as a vital pillar of the bilateral partnership.
The centre, established under the Atal Innovation Mission, will foster innovation and entrepreneurship. The Minister also joined the first anniversary celebrations of *Symbiosis University Dubai campus.
