Bhubaneswar. Dr. Lata Suresh’s much-anticipated book, Transformative Leadership: Embracing Change in the Dynamic World, was officially released at the prestigious International Conference on Modern Bibliographic Literature (#ICMBL 2024) hosted by KIIT University, Bhubaneswar.
The book release was presided over by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS and former Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha Member of Parliament, alongside eminent academicians including Prof. Debashish Bandhopadhyay, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, KIIT University; Prof. W. A. Weerasooriya, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka; Prof. K.P. Singh, University of Delhi; and Prof. Parthasarathi Mukhopadhyay Dr Bijayalaxmi Rautary, University of KIIT and the Organising Secretary of the Conference. The event was graced by an esteemed gathering of academic luminaries, LIS professionals, and scholars from India and abroad.
Dr. Lata Suresh’s book delves into the evolving paradigms of leadership, offering profound insights into the essential skills, strategies, and mindsets required for leaders to thrive amidst technological advancements, societal shifts, and global challenges. The eight chapters of the book cover critical themes, with special attention drawn to Chapter 3, Breaking the Barriers. This chapter examines the challenges faced by women and marginalized groups in ascending to leadership roles and highlights the importance of gender-inclusive policies in fostering diverse and innovative workplaces. Backed by quantitative and qualitative research, it provides actionable strategies for organizations striving to promote equity and inclusion in leadership.
