Building Future-Ready Organisations Through Continuous Learning: Dr Alka Mittal

Dr Alka Mittal Skilling for Viksit Bharat

RANCHI: Addressing SAIL L&D Conclave “Gyan Utsav 2026” organised by the SAIL Management Training Institute (MTI), Ranchi, Dr Alka Mittal, Member (Administration), Capacity Building Commission (CBC), delivered the keynote address on “Skilling for Viksit Bharat”. Inaugurating the conclave, she highlighted the evolving landscape of capacity building and stressed the need to move from training-centric approaches to performance-linked governance and from rule-based systems to role-based capacity development. She said that building a developed India requires stronger institutions driven by continuous learning, competency-based frameworks, and a culture of constant growth and innovation.

Dr Mittal also outlined the Capacity Building Commission’s efforts to strengthen the governance ecosystem through initiatives such as DAKSH, Strategic Communication Workshops for CPSEs, Amrit Gyaan Kosh, IKS Cell, UNNATI, Samuhik Charcha and Karmayogi Kartavya Karyakram. Emphasising collaboration, digital learning and institutional excellence, she underscored the importance of creating agile, knowledge-driven organisations equipped to meet future challenges. Gyan Utsav 2026 provided a platform for discussions on key themes including workplace learning, digital learning and Centres of Excellence, reinforcing the shared vision of continuous capability enhancement across organisations.
