SHILLONG. The Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), in partnership with Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, successfully organized a two-day orientation program in Shillong recently . Designed to build leadership capacity, the event brought together Chairmen, Managing Directors, and Functional Directors from various Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs). During the session, DPE Secretary Shri K. Moses Chalai spoke to the attendees, emphasizing how essential strong corporate governance, strategic direction, and the adoption of new, emerging technologies are to boosting the performance and global competitiveness of public sector companies.
The intensive training program featured a distinguished lineup of guest speakers and industry experts, including Dr. Anup Pujari, Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, Dr. Anil Khandelwal, Mr. Nawshir Mirza, and Dr. Praveen Kumar Tiwari. These experts shared valuable, practical insights on key corporate topics such as effective board leadership, legal arbitration, financial oversight, corporate governance, and running effective audits. The two-day event drew enthusiastic participation, sparking highly interactive and productive discussions among the senior public sector leaders.
