Dr. Satyajit Sahoo, Senior Medical Officer (M&HS) of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has brought laurels to the city by winning the Silver Medal in the 25 meter standard 22 pistol NR (Male) Individual event in the 13th Odisha State Shooting Championship 2024. The event was held at Kalinga Stadium from 25th to 28th July. It is worth mentioning here that, last year in the same event Dr. Sahoo had won a bronze.
He has also been selected for participation in All India Open Shooting Championship to be held at Goa in August. Dr. Sahu has been the titleholder of the State Shooting Championship consecutively for the last four years.
Son of Mrs. Manju Sahu and Mr. Sambhu Nath Sahu, a Civil Engineer and former employee of RSP, Dr. Sahu has been practicing shooting since 2018.
