NEW DELHI. DMRC officials Dr. Rishi Raj (AGM/Operations) and Shri Sanjeev Kumar (Chief Station Controller) have created history by hoisting the Indian Tricolor in Antarctica in November 2025. Their expedition reflects DMRC’s core values of courage, sustainability, and national pride. DMRC has commended both officials for this remarkable achievement, which brings honor to the organization and serves as an inspiration to the nation’s youth, promoting patriotism, climate awareness, and responsible exploration.

Dr. Rishi Raj is possibly the first Indian ever to visit all seven continents and all 36 states/union territories of India. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has a Metro Adventure Club which encourages such activities by the employees and organises various events such as excursions, trekking expeditions etc for employees.
