Delhi Metro today extended the option of payment by Unified Payments Interface (UPI) at its TVMs and ticket/customer care counters across the network. This extended facility was launched today by Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC from Rajiv Chowk Metro station.
DMRC was the first Metro system in the country to initially start this UPI facility on select TVMs on Noida and Ghaziabad section in 2018 which is now being extended further on the network.
With the current exercise, TVMs at over 125 stations have already been upgraded across the Metro network offering faster, more convenient and secure mode of payment to streamline ticketing services and contribute to the overall modernization of public transportation in Delhi/NCR while the remaining TVMs with UPI facility will be extended within a week’s time.
