Sh. Deepak Gupta, Director (Projects), GAIL was an eminent speaker at 17th Environment and Energy Conclave organized by Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industries (BCC&I) recently at, New Delhi. Speaking on the topic “Potential for Gas Energy”, Sh. Gupta highlighted the recognition of natural gas as a bridging fuel to address the climate change concerns when the world moves towards electrification for their energy needs while maximising the usage of renewable energy.
During his talk, Sh. Gupta shared the key initiatives by GAIL to create the requisite pipeline infrastructure and connect National Gas Grid (NGG) so that natural gas reaches the remotest corners of the country and the gas share in the energy mix is enhanced from the present 7% to 15% as envisioned by Govt. of India. He reiterated the steadfast commitment of GAIL for building enabling infrastructure against all odds and multi-faceted challenges and ensuring natural gas supply in a secure.
