NEW DELHI – The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has received and is reviewing IndiGo’s response to the show-cause notice issued over recent large-scale flight disruptions and cancellations across its network. The airline expressed regret and apologised to passengers, attributing the disruption to an unfortunate and unforeseeable combination of multiple factors. DGCA said it is examining the reply and will take appropriate enforcement action in due course. Meanwhile, IndiGo stated that refunds amounting to over ?827 crore have been processed, with the balance under way for cancellations up to the 15th of the month, over 4,500 bags have been returned to customers, and more than 1,800 flights are being operated to restore network connectivity.
