DLF Foundation organises Summer Enrichment Workshop

Gurugram: DLF Foundation organized a two-day Summer Enrichment Workshop for over 1200 scholars and their parents at Ridge Valley School. The workshop was held under DLF Sahyog, the School Education Program of Foundation. Multiple sessions for different groups of class I to XII were conducted by counsellors and experts from field of education.

The sessions were exclusively designed for scholars and their parents keeping in mind their needs and with the intend to instill the values.

Kr VS Lalotra, Sr. Executive Director and Head (Education), DLF Foundation “Children are the future of the Nation and it is our bounden duty to provide them with varied avenues for their all round development. With this aim, we have endeavoured to develop a strong ethos for our scholars. We are confident that with the support of parents and the mentor, we shall be able to undertake further development activities in the years ahead.”

Some of the sessions organised for students covered topics such as The Power Of Storytelling, Readers make Leaders- the importance of reading’, Respecting the opposite Gender/Stress Management, Pros and Cons of Social Media, Team Building, Dealing with Bullies, Importance of Discipline, Entrepreneurial Skills and etc.

Simran Kapoor, one of the scholars said, “We are happy to attend the workshop since we have received career guidance as well as many important tips for planning our future. The sessions were very interactive and helped us to acquire in making learning a fun filled activity.”

Career 360 was also called to conduct career guidance session for the students of class X, XI and XII. Positive parenting sessions were conducted for the parents of students who are studying in primary, secondary and senior secondary.

Dr Roma Kumar, clinical psychologist with Gangaram hospitals and the Head of Saksham Clinic conducted thematic sessions for parents on topics such as Parenting Today, Parent Child Bonding and etc.

Ramesh Singh, one of the parents who attended the workshop said, “We are grateful to the DLF Foundation for organizing this Summer Enrichment Workshop and equipping us in dealing with challenges of parenting. We parents find difficulty in addressing our children’s’ concerns and such sessions really helped us.
