Daughter of SAIL RSP Employee Secures AIR 1 in CLAT PG Entrance Exam

Miss Arunima Thakur, daughter of Mr. Amitabh Thakur, Safety Inspector in the Safety Engineering Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP)  and Mrs. Ruma Thakur, a teacher at Delhi Public School, Rourkela, has achieved the remarkable distinction of securing All India Rank 1 in the prestigious Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) PG entrance examination. She has scored a CLAT percentile of 99.993.

A shining star of the steel city, Arunima’s academic journey highlights her brilliance and determination. She did her schooling at Ispat English Medium School, Sector-22, and Delhi Public School, Sector-14,  Rourkela, consistently excelling in academics. Arunima topped the Steel City in both Class X and Class XII, scoring an impressive 97.8% and 98.2% respectively.

Beyond academics, Arunima’s talent as an orator has earned her widespread recognition. She won the Steel City Best Young Orator Award every year up to Class XII. She was also awarded a Gold Medal in the Chancellor Debate Competition.

Arunima is in the final year of her 5 year Integrated law course at University College of Law, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. With her latest achievement, she has brought immense pride to her family, Rourkela, and the state of Odisha. Arunima aspires to become an IAS officer and serve the nation.
