Contract Workers awarded under Instant recognition scheme in Roll Shop Department of SAIL, RSP

An award distribution programme under Instant Recognition Scheme was organised at the Roll Shop Unit situated in Hot Strip Mill – 2 Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on 5th November 2024. Mr. Subrat Kumar, CGM (HSM-2 & Auxiliaries) presided over the function and presented the awards to 12 Contract Labours of Messrs Srutee Enterprises, Messrs Kunnath Engineers, Messrs Behera Enterprise, Messrs Abreast Engineering Company, Messrs Lloyds Engineering Private Limited and Messrs P M Construction engaged in the Department. Present on the occasion were Mr. S R Mohapatra, GM In-charge (Roll Shop), Mr. M Maharana, DGM (Roll Shop), Ms. Sangeeta M Sindur, Senior Manager (HR) other Senior Officers and employees of Roll Shop, concerned contractors and representatives of the respective agencies.

Contract Workers awarded under Instant recognition scheme in Roll Shop Department of SAIL, RSPMr. Kumar congratulated the contractor workers for their exemplary performance and urged them to continue the good work to keep up the performance of the Department and the plant.

The jobs for which the awards were given were segregation, dismantling and dismounting of work rolls and back up roll chocks and their proper stacking for auction or final disposal, fixing lock plated in Plate Mill work roll chocks clamp ring by bolting system, developing ‘C’ clamp arrangement in Hot Strip Mill – 2 Roll Shop for Jib Crane hoist and maintaining highest standard of cleanliness in Hot Strip Mill – 2 Roll Shop unit.

The event was co-ordinated by Mr. M Maharana.
