Pune: February 05, 2026 – ColdStar Logistics, India’s fastest-growing temperature-controlled supply chain solutions provider, has set-up its second state-of-the-art cold chain facility in Pune, reinforcing its focus on the FMCG and Fruits & Vegetables verticals (including storage and processing of fresh produce) and strengthening its distribution footprint across Maharashtra.
Located in Chakan Phase II, the 2,20,000 sq. ft. temperature-controlled warehouse has been developed in response to the rapid growth of the Pune consumption market and rising regional demand for reliable cold storage and processing infrastructure. The facility has a daily processing capacity of 3,00,000+ units and operates as a central hub for Pune and the surrounding Maharashtra hinterland, enabling faster and more efficient movement of temperature-sensitive goods.
The new hub will support storage, processing, and distribution of FMCG products and fresh produce, catering to demand from modern trade, e-commerce platforms, food processors, and institutional customers. ColdStar already operates another 35,000+ sq. ft. facility in Chakan Phase II, Pune, and the second hub significantly enhances the company’s capacity and service capability in the region.
Equipped with modern warehousing infrastructure, energy-efficient systems, and ColdStar’s proprietary AI/ML-driven logistics planning tools, the facility is designed to improve throughput, reduce handling time, and ensure end-to-end product integrity across the supply chain.
Commenting on the expansion, Sameer Varma, Executive Director, ColdStar Logistics, said:
“Pune has emerged as a key consumption and distribution centre for FMCG and fresh produce. Rising regional demand, growth in quick-commerce, and increasing need for processing-led cold chain solutions drove our decision to expand here. This second hub strengthens our ability to serve Pune and the wider Maharashtra market with faster, more reliable, and scalable temperature-controlled logistics.”
ColdStar’s fast-growing cold chain network offers the entire range of storage and logistics services from sourcing and consolidation to cross-docking, last-mile fulfilment, and reverse logistics. The company currently operates 26 temperature-controlled distribution centres handling 1.8 million units per day in 200+ cities.
