The Ministry of Coal executed Coal Mining Development and Production Agreements for three mines auctioned under the 7th Round’s second attempt, marking a milestone in commercial coal mining. The mines are Machhakata (Revised), Kudanali Lubri, and Sakhigopal-B Kakurhi, awarded to NLC India Limited, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited, and Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited, respectively. These mines are expected to generate Rs 2,991.20 crores annually and create approximately 40,560 jobs with an investment of Rs 4,500 crores.
