BILASPUR. Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines, Shri Satish Chandra Dubey, visited SECL’s Dipka Mega Project on 30 June 2025 during his two-day tour. He praised the coal sector’s vital role in building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat, highlighting recent achievements under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership, including abundant coal reserves and a focus on green mining and environmental sustainability. Shri Dubey also emphasized SECL’s contributions to the nation’s energy needs and social responsibility initiatives like ‘SECL Ki Dhadkan’. During his visit, he planted a sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, laid the foundation stone for a new entrance and security complex, and reviewed mine operations and future plans at the Dipka View Point.
The Minister also held discussions with officials on land acquisition and project expansion in Raipur, felicitated employees, including women workers, and interacted with contract workers at the camps to inquire about their well-being. Accompanied by SECL CMD Shri Harish Duhan and senior officials, Shri Dubey’s visit underscored the company’s ongoing efforts in production, community welfare, and infrastructure development, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable growth and social responsibility.
During the visit, SECL CMD Shri Harish Duhan, Director (Technical – Operations cum Planning/Projects) Shri N. Franklin Jayakumar, Director (HR) Shri Biranchi Das, Director (Finance) Shri D. Sunil Kumar, CVO Shri Himanshu Jain, Dipka Area General Manager Shri Sanjay Kumar Mishra, and other senior officials accompanied the Hon’ble Minister.
