Coal India Organised training program on Cyber Security and e-Vigilance

A training program on Cyber Security and e-Vigilance was organized by CoalIndia  as a prelude to the Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2023 at IMI Kolkata on the subject – Capacity Building of Officers. Shri Vinay Ranjan, Director (P&IR), CIL,emphasized the importance of cyber security, stating that a single security breach might have far-reaching effects in today’s inter-connected world. He noted that cyber-attacks can come from any level, thus training on cyber security and typical cyber risks is essential.

Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathy, Chief Vigilance Officer,spoke on how technology can be used as a tool for preventive vigilance. He cited e-procurements, e-payments, and the deployment of proper analytical tools as examples of how technology improves the preventive vigilance system.
