Dr. Vinay Ranjan, Director (Human Resources) of Coal India Limited, visited SECL’s Sohagpur Area to review the Highwall Mining Technology at Sharda OCM and review key aspects of production and productivity. During his visit,on 11 August 2025, he engaged with members of the Area Joint Consultative Committee to discuss critical issues related to production, industrial relations, and upcoming industrial challenges. In interactions with the HR team, Dr. Ranjan highlighted the importance of transparency and worker satisfaction, emphasizing that maintaining cordial and positive relations is essential for sustainable growth in today’s evolving environment.
Accompanied by Area General Manager Mr. Sandeep S. Paranjpe, General Manager (Operations) Mr. Manish Kumar Srivastava, and other mining engineers, Dr. Ranjan underscored the need for management to foster a work environment rooted in trust and collaboration. He reiterated that prioritizing worker welfare and fostering positive industrial relations are vital for achieving operational excellence and ensuring industry resilience amid changing circumstances.
