RANCHI. Chairman of Coal India, Shri P.M. Prasad, addressed the “Workshop on Challenges of FMC” held at CMPDI, Ranchi, emphasizing that First Mile Connectivity (FMC) projects are vital for efficient and sustainable coal transportation. He called for expedited completion of ongoing and upcoming FMC projects, highlighting their role in addressing issues of underloading and overloading and underscoring the need for collaborative stakeholder engagement to overcome implementation challenges. Director (Technical), Shri Achyut Ghatak, presented the current status of FMC initiatives and emphasized their importance as an eco-friendly and sustainable transport solution, offering insights into project design and execution. The session was also addressed by Shri Manoj Kumar (CMD, CMPDI), Shri J.P. Dwivedi (CMD, WCL), and Shri N.K. Singh (CMD, CCL).
