CMD SECL, Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra, met with Ms. Neenu Ittyerah, General Manager of South East Central Railway (SECR), in Bilaspur to discuss key issues surrounding rail corridors and coal transportation. Dr. Mishra emphasized the need to expedite the commencement of CTR work at the Burhar siding and addressed concerns related to the transportation of coal, availability of rakes, and the required support from SECR to enhance the efficiency of coal dispatch operations.
During the meeting, Dr. Mishra also highlighted SECL’s adoption of modern dispatch technology through First-Mile-Connectivity (FMC) projects, which aim to mechanize the coal handling process from pitheads to rail sidings for faster and more sustainable coal movement. In response, Ms. Ittyerah assured full support from SECR in providing rake availability and accelerating the development of rail dispatch infrastructure projects.
