On March 5, 2025, the SECL Jatayu Dashboard was launched by CMD Shri JP Dwivedi during the General Manager Coordination Meeting at SECL Headquarters. This online platform, developed through the collaborative efforts of the Vigilance and System Departments, compiles various rules, circulars, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relevant to the coal industry, consolidating them into a single user-friendly interface. The initiative aims to enhance accessibility for SECL personnel, promoting preventive vigilance and updating knowledge concerning essential guidelines and regulations.
Named after the vigilant bird from the epic Ramayana, the Jatayu Dashboard is designed to empower executives by providing instant access to crucial resources, streamlining decision-making processes, and reducing confusion. It includes a comprehensive categorization system for circulars and guidelines, organized by issuing agency, vertical, subject, year, and date, thereby enhancing search efficiency for users who need specific information quickly.
Looking towards future enhancements, the development team plans to integrate an AI-powered chatbot to the Jatayu Dashboard, offering real-time responses to queries from executives. Additionally, the dashboard features a “Contribute” section where users can suggest the inclusion of missing resources by uploading relevant documents, subject to administrative review. This initiative represents one of the most innovative, AI-driven solutions developed by a Public Sector Unit (PSU), truly serving as a comprehensive resource for executives in their daily operations.
