Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) launched WhatsApp chatbot-based QR ticketing service to provide a more efficient and seamless travelling experience to commuters. With the development, commuters will no longer have to wait in queues to book their metro tickets, instead, they will now be able to book it via their WhatsApp accounts. A 20 per cent discount will also be applicable on the tickets booked through the messaging app.
