RANCHI. The district administration of Chatra has signed agreements with Central Coalfields Limited and NTPC Limited to support tribal welfare initiatives. Under the pact, houses of 28 Birhor families in Itkhori block will be repaired at a cost of Rs 28.2 lakh, while model anganwadi centres will also be developed across the district. The projects will be funded by the PSUs as part of their corporate social responsibility efforts aimed at improving living conditions of vulnerable tribal communities.
