Central Induction of Management Trainees of SAIL concludes at Rourkela Steel Plant

The Central Induction programme going on for 64 Management Trainees Technical (MTT) – Mines and Ceramics at the Learning and Development Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant concluded on 20th July, 2024. Mr. Tarun Misra, ED (HR) with additional charge of ED (Projects) RSP chaired the concluding session, while Mr. Sanjay Dhar, CGM (HR-L&D) with additional power of ED (HR-L&D) MTI, Ranchi and Ms. Rajashree Banerjee, CGM (HR-L&D), RSP were present on the occasion.

Sharing his life experiences, Mr. Tarun Misra said, “The unique culture of welcoming the MTs in SAIL hasn’t changed in the past 35 years. Even I was welcomed the same way back then.” He advised the MTs to always come up with suggestions and feedback to improve the work culture and production system in SAIL. He also exhorted the new generation of SAIL executives to learn all the possible jobs they need to face in the shop floor so as to be a guide for others.

Addressing the newly inducted MTs, Mr. Sanjay Dhar motivated them to figure out and navigate the ways to reach the top positions at SAIL and also highlighted what it takes to be there. “Discipline is the key and SAIL being a family, we always notice what our new members are aiming at and we encourage them at every step of life”.

Earlier, Ms. Rajashree Banerjee took a one-to-one feedback session from the Trainees and congratulated them on successfully completing the Central Induction and wished them for their future journey at SAIL. She also presented a token of gift to all the Trainees before the concluding session.

The trainees also cut the farewell cake and joyfully shared their emotions and experiences of their 10-day long sojourn at RSP. It is noteworthy that RSP hosted the Central Induction Programme for Management Trainees after almost a decade. 64 Management Trainees for Mines and Ceramics successfully completed their central induction at RSP and will now be posted in different plants, mines, and units of SAIL.
