The Government has appointed Robert Jerard Ravi, an ITS officer, as the new BSNL CMD for a period of six months. Ravi is currently working as the deputy director general, standards, research and innovation at the Department of Telecommunication (DoT). He will hold additional charge of CMD of BSNL, CMD of MTNL and CMD of BBNL effective July 15, 2024. Ravi replace P K Purwar, whose tenure is expired on July 14. During the period of holding additional charge, Ravi will not be entitled to any additional remuneration.
