Varanasi: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has signed two Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to upgrade urban infrastructure, green spaces, heritage conservation, and public amenities across Varanasi.
The agreements were executed in the presence of Varanasi Mayor Shri Ashok Kumar Tiwari, Divisional Commissioner Shri S. Rajalingam, and BPCL Chairman & Managing Director Shri Sanjay Khanna. Under the first MoU, signed with the Kashi Integrated Parking & Recreational Foundation (KIPRF) and Varanasi Smart City Limited (VSCL), BPCL will redevelop 119 public parks and establish Food Street Hubs at Sarnath and Maidagin. The second MoU, signed with the Varanasi Development Authority (VDA), focuses on the beautification of key heritage streets and prominent corridors, together reinforcing public infrastructure while preserving the cultural identity of the historic city.
