A bike rally for road safety was organized at the New Plate Mill (NPM) department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), as part of the 36th National Road Safety Month celebrations. The bike rally was flagged off by Mr. R K Bisare CGM (NPM & SPP), Mr. Rakesh Joshi, CGM (CO & CCD) and Mrs. Asha Kartha, CGM (S&FS) in the presence of Mr. Abakasa Behera, GM (Safety) and other senior officers of the plant. The event focused on promoting safe driving habits and adherence to traffic rules to ensure safety both inside and outside the plant.
Mr. R.K. Bisare highlighted the importance of road safety in reducing accidents and saving lives. Ms. Asha Kartha urged everyone to follow road safety rules in all daily routines diligently. Shri Rakesh Joshi emphasized the safe practices to be observed while driving on roads, underscoring the significance of vigilance and discipline.
The roadshow was flagged off from the NPM Mill entrance to MRD Square. Notably, the NPM Department has been organizing an array of programs to sensitize the employees as well as other stakeholders about road safety practices.
Mr. Suman Kumar, DSO NPM, coordinated the program, and Ms. Prangya Nath, ASO, proposed a vote of thanks.
