Bhanja Cultural Trust in association with Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) is going to organise a grand cultural evening, ‘Kumar Utsav-2025’ on 6th October, 2025 at Civic Centre, Rourkela to mark one of the most popular festivals of Odisha ‘Kumar Purnima’. Two eminent personalities of Odisha namely National Award winning Veteran actor, director and former Rajyasabha MP Shri Prashanta Nanda and renowned Odissi vocalist Prof. Dr. Sangeeta Gosain will be felicitated with ‘Kumar Utsav Samman-2025’ during the event.
The evening promises to be a melodious journey with Bishnu Mohan Kabi, one of the celebrated singers of Odia cinema and three popular voices of the Steel City set to present many popular old and new Odia songs in the programme. To mark Kumar Purnima and the rich cultural heritage of Odisha, artists from Bhanja Kala Kendra will present the traditional folk dance ‘Kuanra Punei Jahna Go..’ during the event.
