Bhanja Cultural Trust in association with Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) is going to organise a grand cultural evening, ‘Kumar Utsav-2024’ on 17th October, 2024 at Civic Centre, Rourkela to mark one of the most popular festivals of Odisha ‘Kumar Purnima’. Two distinguished personalities namely acclaimed Odia litterateur and former IAS officer Dr. Hara Prasad Das and Odissi Exponent Guru Sushree Sangeeta Das will be felicitated with ‘Kumar Utsav Samman-2024’ during the event.
The evening promises to be a melodious journey with Swayam Padhi, one of the celebrated singers of Odia cinema and his troupe set to present many popular old and new Odia songs in the programme. To mark Kumar Purnima and the rich cultural heritage of Odisha, artists from Bhanja Kala Kendra will present the traditional folk dance ‘Kuanra Punei Jahna Go..’ during the event.
