The meritorious students of Rourkela City were awarded by SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) for their outstanding academic performance in Class-10 and Calss-12 examinations conducted by different Boards at the Samman Samaroh organised at Civic Centre on Independence Day, 2024.
Mr. Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge of Rourkela Steel Plant presented the ‘Best Academic Performance Award – 2023’ to 13 students for excelling in various Board examinations in Class-10 and Class-12.
Under the ‘Best Academic Performance Award’ in the Class X category Shruti Panda of Saraswati Shishu Vidyamandir, bagged the topper’s award in HSC Exam conducted by BSE(Odisha).
The topper in ICSE Exam conducted by CISCE, New Delhi was Peeyush Ranjan Panda of St. Paul’s School. Manyata Samal of DAV Public School, Rourkela topped the AISSE Exam conducted by CBSE, New Delhi.
Similarly in the 10+2 under Council of Higher Secondary Education Board, Odisha, Sahibanaz Khatun of Science Stream, Ujala Jaypuria of Arts Stream, and Suman Sethi of Commerce stream all from Government Higher Secondary School, Rourkela received the toppers awards.
The top rankers of Class-12 CBSE Board Examination in Science, Commerce, and Arts stream were Tanmoy Pratihari and Sanchita Bose, both from DAV Public School, Rourkela, and Ahana Pattnaik from Delhi Public School respectively.
ISC Board Examination in Science stream was jointly topped by Ananya Mohapatra of St. Paul’s School, Hamirpur, and Shristi Bose of St. Josesph’s Convent School, Hamirpur. Subhara Swetapadma of Arts stream from Carmel School, Hamirpur Rourkela and Isha Agarwal of Commerce Stream from Chinmaya Vidyalaya English Medium , Rourkela were the toppers.
Each of the students was given award consisting of cash award of Rs. 10,000/- and a certificate of merit. Peeyush Ranjan Panda of St. Paul’s School, Hamirpur was awarded with a special award of Rs. 10,000/- for being the state topper as well.
Seven students of RSP run schools also received the Nehru Memorial Award for being toppers in their respective schools in various Board examinations. The top rank holders of Class X Board Examination were Mohit Panda (ICSE) of IEMS, Sector – 20, Prangya Paramita Nayak (ICSE) of IEMS, Sector – 22 and Rohit Kumar Bhol, (AHSC Exam) of Deepika Ispat Sikshya Sadan. Subarnika Pradhan of IEMS, Sector – 20, Pradipta Chandra Giri of Science stream, Madhusmita Gouda of Arts stream and Sudhansubala Sahoo of Commerce stream from Ispat Vidya Mandir were the toppers in Class – XII who received the award. Each of the students were presented with cash award of Rs. 3,000/- and a Certificate of Merit.
