Aviation regulator DGCA plans to ban use of perfumes, medicines or mouthwash by flight crew

Directorate General of Civil Aviation is considering new measures to restrict flight crew members from using products containing alcohol, such as perfumes and medicines. The aim is to prevent crew members from testing positive during pre or post-flight breathalyser tests. As per a TOI report, these products include perfumes, medicines, and dental hygiene items.
