Bengaluru, 23 July 2025: ACC, the cement and building material company of the diversified Adani Portfolio, in collaboration with the Adani Foundation, continues to uplift rural youth in Jharkhand through the Adani Skill Development Centre (ASDC) in Chaibasa. With a focus on practical, job-ready skills, ASDC has been instrumental in enabling young individuals like Sidiu Laguri from Baihatu village, West Singhbhum district, to overcome barriers and build sustainable careers.
Sidiu enrolled in the two-wheeler service technician course, where he received hands-on training in vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repairs. Throughout his training, ACC and Adani Foundation provided him with not just technical education but also personal mentorship, emotional support during a period of personal loss, and ongoing career guidance. Their efforts culminated in a successful placement with Dhoot Transmission Pvt. Ltd. in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, where Sidiu now works as an Assembly Line Operator.
From a remote village to a professional manufacturing floor, Sidiu’s transformation highlights the critical role of grassroots skill development backed by strong institutional support. Through ASDC Chaibasa, ACC and the Adani Foundation are not only creating skilled professionals but also nurturing resilience, confidence, and long-term self-reliance among India’s rural youth.
