Following the repatriation of Union Coal Secretary Amrit Lal Meena (IAS: 1989: BH) the Centre on Sunday assigned the additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Coal to V L Kantha Rao (IAS: 1992: MP). Currently, Rao is working as Secretary, Ministry of Mines. Rao will hold the additional charge of Coal till the appointment of a regular Secretary in the Ministry of Coal.
