On the occasion of the 107th birth anniversary of former CM of Odisha, Shri Biju Patnaik, the iconic Dakota aircraft was unveiled by CM of Odisha Naveen Patnaik as a tribute to him at AAI’s Bhubaneswar Airport. The aircraft was once used by Biju Patnaik to rescue the erstwhile Indonesian Vice President and Prime Minister back in 1947. AAI allotted 1.1 acres of land to place the DC-3 aircraft in front of the airport for public viewing. This initiative will undeniably inspire the people of Odisha and will also serve as an embodiment of the former CM’s courage and adventurism.
