MUMBAI. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited has marked a major milestone in its sustainability journey as its Mumbai Refinery received the prestigious ISCC CORSIA certification for producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel through Used Cooking Oil co-processing. The certification was formally handed over by M/s Cotecna to Shri Sankar M, Executive Director of Mumbai Refinery, and Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Executive Director of Aviation, during a ceremony attended by senior officials. Achieved through a collaborative effort between BPCL’s Aviation Business Unit, Mumbai Refinery, and Corporate Research & Development Centre, this milestone equips the company to supply CORSIA-compliant SAF to international airlines, reinforcing its position as a future-ready fuel partner committed to global decarbonization goals and a greener aviation ecosystem.
