NEW DELHI. The Government is collaborating with industry stakeholders to undertake a comprehensive overhaul of the Artificial Intelligence curriculum aimed at preparing students for emerging technological trends. In this regard, Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw chaired a high-level meeting with the AI Curriculum Taskforce in New Delhi, where discussions focused on strengthening industry-academia collaboration and aligning AI education with future technology requirements. According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the task force has carried out a baseline study of existing Bachelor of Technology Computer Science and allied curricula across Indian educational institutions in partnership with industry experts and the National Association of Software and Service Companies. The Ministry said the key focus areas of the task force include application-oriented pedagogy, credit-linked curriculum integration, responsible AI as a continuous learning component, and enhanced practical training.
