NEW DELHI. North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited celebrated its 51st Foundation Day on April 2, 2026, marking over five decades of service to the nation’s energy sector. The programme began with a ceremonial guard of honour and flag hoisting, followed by the presentation of project awards by CMD , NTPC & NEEPCO Gurdeep Singh. In his address, he highlighted NEEPCO’s significant contribution to the power sector, especially in the North Eastern region, and described it as the hydro arm of NTPC, playing a key role in strengthening India’s renewable energy portfolio.
Maharana delivered the welcome address, outlining the organisation’s journey, achievements, and future vision. The event also featured a documentary on NEEPCO’s growth, inauguration of a Vigilance Bulletin, and a cultural programme showcasing regional diversity, with enthusiastic participation from employees.
