NEW DELHI. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the first world leader to cross 100 million followers on Instagram. He joined the platform in 2014, and his account is now the most-followed political profile in the world. His followers are more than double those of US President Donald Trump, who has around 43 million followers. Other global leaders, including Indonesia’s Prabowo Subianto and Brazil’s Lula da Silva, have far fewer followers. In India, Modi also leads, ahead of Yogi Adityanath and Rahul Gandhi. During his Israel visit, he addressed the Israeli Parliament and received the Medal of the Knesset. D D News
