KOCHI. Shri Chacko M. Jose took charge as the Head of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s Kochi Refinery on 20 February 2026, leading the country’s largest public sector petroleum refinery. An alumnus of Government Engineering College, Thrissur, with a degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from Cochin University of Science and Technology, he previously led BPCL’s Bina Refinery. With over 35 years of experience in operations, technical services, projects, energy, and environment management across three Indian refineries, Shri Chacko succeeds Shri M. Sankar, who has been appointed head of BPCL’s Mumbai Refinery. He hails from the Mazhuvanchery family and is a native of Ayyampilly in Ernakulam district.
