CHENNAI. In a strategic move to bolster energy security, Navratna CPSEs NLC India Limited (NLCIL) and National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop 1,200 MW of thermal and renewable energy projects. This collaboration, formalised in the presence of top leadership including NLCIL CMD Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli and NALCO Director (Projects & Technical) Shri Jagdish Arora, aims to provide sustainable and cost-effective power solutions to meet NALCO’s long-term captive requirements. By combining their expertise in coal-based generation and green energy, the two entities under the Ministries of Coal and Mines are set to strengthen India’s industrial energy infrastructure through this joint venture.
