RISHIKESH. THDC India Limited has launched THDC Mission Shakti , a pilot initiative aimed at the holistic development of girls in project-affected areas. The 10-day non-residential programme, being held from 03 to 12 January 2026, is designed for 12 Class VI students of Tehri Bandh Pariyojna Inter College in Tehri and focuses on academic support along with co-curricular activities to promote all-round growth.
Highlighting THDCIL’s strong CSR commitment, Chairman and Managing Director Shri Sipan Kumar Garg said the organisation continues to implement community-centric initiatives in education, health, skill development, and women’s empowerment. He noted that Mission Shakti seeks to create long-term social impact by empowering young girls with knowledge, life skills, and self-confidence. The programme was inaugurated on 03 January 2026 at Bhagirathipuram, Tehri, in the presence of Shri Kishore Upadhyay, Hon’ble MLA, Tehri, who attended as the Chief Guest.
